Specializing in skin rejuvenation, injections and skin care, Laura Jane Brougher and Serina Jones recently introduced Gig Harbor Aesthetics to the local community. Opening its doors in January 2020, Laura Jane, RN and Serina, LME bring years of experience in their respective fields, providing their clients the best in aesthetics services.
An experienced master aesthetician, Serina provides services including laser and skin rejuvenation, fractional resurfacing, dermaplaning, microneedling, microblading and crafted therapeutic facials. She works alongside one of the top plastic surgeons in the nation, where she has had advanced and extensive laser training. “I love treating skin because filters don’t follow you around in real life. I’ve created some of the most amazing combination therapy skin procedures that deliver physical change to the skin,” says Serina.
“Her 20 years of working in high profile medical aesthetic clinics and loving touch is what makes her so special,” smiles Laura Jane. “When it comes to having your face treated, having the best and most experienced is important.”
Laura Jane is an advanced injector with 15-plus years of experience, previously working for a plastic surgeon and a women’s clinic. “What inspired me to get into aesthetics was wanting to have beautiful skin,” she says. “I have been injecting and performing skin rejuvenation for almost 16 years and am currently focusing mostly on injecting in our new practice.”
She and Serina are joined by Medical Director Erin Anderson, ARNP.
The team is passionate about the work they do and believe that helping someone feel confident about themselves is incredibly fulfilling. “What is most rewarding is getting super happy client feedback,” says Laura Jane. “They are so excited and feeling confident with their healthy skin and fresher appearance.”
Serina adds, “Everyone wants to feel beautiful in their own skin, and we believe it’s possible for every single person to feel that way.”
Products used at the clinic include Botox and Dysport for dynamic wrinkle softening, Restylane for dermal fillers and Juvederm portfolios. The office will soon be offering Coolsculpting, a non-invasive procedure for targeting stubborn fat areas of the body.
In addition, they currently offer product lines by ZO Skin Health, IS Clinical and Elta MD sun protection, with more to come! “We only sell products that have high quality performance ingredients and are top of the line in the industry,” affirms Laura Jane.
She adds that she sees herself as an artist, with a passion for keeping each and every client looking natural. “I feel that most clients want a more refreshed look and healthy skin. I strongly feel a natural-looking enhancement is paramount,” affirms Laura Jane. “I also believe that everyone is on a different budget, so making a plan for treatment now—and long term—is a great way to achieve results that fit the budget.”
Serina has been named the “skin guru” in the industry—and her work shows it. Her work on correcting sun damage has been featured in training modules for top laser companies around the world. She provides every client with a customized treatment plan. You can feel how proud and passionate she is when she talks to anyone about their skin. As we said goodbye, Serina excitedly said, “Give us all the faces!” which perfectly describes her immense passion for the craft.
Laura Jane and her husband have lived in Gig Harbor for almost 30 years. Serina, her husband and their two young children have called Gig Harbor home for the past two years. She loves to travel, ski, cook and a great glass of wine.
