Winter Adventures

Holiday shopping begins after Thanksgiving at Winterfest, hosted by Peninsula High School. Two hundred vendors offer unique gifts to get you in the Christmas Spirit. Tree lighting ceremonies take place in the park in early December, and other fun holiday events include Candlelight Christmas in the Harbor and the lighted boat parade. Celebrate the New Year at local bars and restaurants.

Candlelight Christmas in the Harbor

Sharon Stearnes, a family oriented entertainer and accomplished musician, will lead carolers with joyful holiday carols while awaiting the arrival of the Argosy Christmas Ship, all aglow in festive lights! The Olympia Youth Choir – Cantabile will be performing from the ship. For more information visit

Gig Harbor Annual Lighted Boat Parade

Decorate your boat this December and join us for a holiday tradition here in the harbor! This is one of the ways that we can give back to our community by giving them a festive show out on the water. For more information visit

Gig Harbor Gondola
