Fall Adventures

Fall in Gig Harbor is a time to relax after a busy summer. As tourism season winds down, it’s a chance to visit local shopping districts and take in the beautiful fall weather. October is the Gig Harbor Film Festival which celebrates filmmakers of all levels and interests.  Fall is also a great time to check the lineup at the Paradise Theatre or take in chorus or classical performances from local musicians. Sample fall beers from Seven Seas Brewing Company or let a glass of locally crafted Heritage Distilling whiskey warm you up on a cool autumn night.

Donkey Creek Chum Festival

Every year, the greater Gig Harbor community celebrates the return of salmon to local waters. The Chum Festival serves to remind of the quality of the water and the habitat it supports. Join them as they recognize new ways to improve and protect the waterways. The goal is to bring people together to promote sustainability, sound environmental stewardship, preservation of maritime history and culture, responsible recreation, habitat preservation, and shoreline restoration -- one salmon at a time. Visit www.cityofgigharbor.net/donkey-creek-chum-festival for more information.
