Grab your chair and head to Summer Sounds at Skansie and Uptown Summer Concerts By Jillian Chandler
Summertime is officially in full swing, and music is filling the air, as the 2022 season of Summer Sounds at Skansie kicked off on June 28 to the sounds of Soul Searching. But don't worry, the series continues all summer long. All concerts are held Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7pm at Skansie Brothers Park.
As always, attendees are kindly reminded to be respectful of your neighbors. Note that roping off seats and chairs/blankets on the Jerisich Dock Viewing Platform is not permitted. There are no tents or canopies allowed, though small umbrellas can be used. And remember that all Gig Harbor parks are smoke, vape and alcohol-free.

(funk, pop, electro swing) Tuesday, July 12: ABBAGraphs (ABBA's classic pop hits of the '70s, '80s, and other top disco-era hits) Tuesday, July 19: The Profits (covers across several genres) Tuesday, July 26: The Paperboys (influences from Celtic and bluegrass to Mexican son jarocho, brass bands, and Canadian roots) Tuesday, August 2: Mark Hurwitz & Gin Creek (blues, roots rock, New Orleans funk, soul) Tuesday, August 9: The Beatniks ('60s, '70s' '80s) Tuesday, August 16: Abney Park (gypsy rock, EDM< electro, swing, industrial dance, Western music) Tuesday, August 23: Nate Botsford (country and rock) Tuesday, August 30: Sounds Like Dolores (energetic rock, pop and country dance music from the '80s, '90s and 2000s)
With your Tuesday night entertainment covered, be sure to head uptown to take advantage of the Uptown Summer Concerts each Thursday evening July 7 through August 11. Held 6 to 8pm at the Uptown Gig Harbor Pavillion from 6 to 8pm, it’s a great way to spend a summer evening outdoors in Gig Harbor—while enjoying some fabulous entertainment with friends and family.
