A Gig Harbor sanctuary where beauty and energy flow in harmony

For Brooke Rodriguez, A Touch of Meraki has always been her heart and soul project. What began as a collection of passions—hairdressing, sound healing, and sacred crafting—evolved into a unified vision: a space where beauty and energy could coexist. That dream became A Touch of Meraki, a sanctuary where clients and practitioners alike can reconnect with themselves and the world around them.
“The meaning of Meraki is woven into everything we do,” Brooke shares. “It’s the acknowledgment that anything we touch carries a bit of our own energy, that our love, intention, and essence flow through our work.” Inside this peaceful space, every detail reflects that philosophy. From the hair salon to the Gather Space to the retail boutique filled with crystals, candles, and sacred tools, each element has been crafted or chosen to inspire connection, reflection, and renewal.
A Touch of Meraki isn’t just a salon or healing studio. It’s a collective. Brooke leases her studios to local practitioners, creating a supportive environment where facilitators can share their gifts without barriers. Reiki healers, sound therapists, and wellness guides each bring their unique expression of Meraki to the space, creating a rich tapestry of offerings for the community. “It’s been incredible to watch this dream expand into a community where everyone’s gifts can thrive,” Brooke says.
The range of services offered reflects Brooke’s belief that wellness begins within. Shamanic Reiki, Biofield Tuning, and Opus Sound Bed Meditations invite guests to slow down, listen, and reconnect. Each is a different way to access personal empowerment and balance, helping clients return to their natural rhythm. Even traditional salon services are elevated with this same intention. Head Spa treatments, mindful haircare, and beauty rituals are infused with presence and purpose, a reminder that self-care can be sacred.
“Beauty is an act of sacred self-care,” Brooke explains. “It’s not vanity, but reverence. When we approach self-care with intention, even something as simple as a haircut or scalp treatment becomes a sacred act of living in alignment with one’s true self.”
At the center of A Touch of Meraki is the Gather Space, a serene room dedicated to community workshops and healing circles. It serves as both a sanctuary and a stage for connection, hosting events like Sacred Sisterhood Circles, sound journeys, breathwork, and creative workshops. Each gathering encourages participants to open their hearts and experience the transformative power of shared energy.
The retail area extends that energy into daily life. Many of the shop’s offerings—ritual candles, smudge sticks, and crystal bundles—are handcrafted by Brooke herself. Others are sourced from local, women-owned businesses that share her values of integrity and intention. Each item carries a story and a purpose, designed to help customers continue their wellness practices at home.
Beyond the walls of her Gig Harbor studio, Brooke envisions expanding A Touch of Meraki into a nature-based retreat center. Her goal is to create a sanctuary surrounded by trees and water, where guests can rest, learn, and reconnect through retreats and healing experiences. The dream is to blend modern comfort with natural beauty, a physical embodiment of sacred balance.
Community is the foundation of everything Brooke has built. “This space was never meant to be just a salon or healing studio. It was created as a home for belonging, collaboration, and shared growth,” Brooke says. “Every person who walks through our doors becomes part of a larger tapestry of healing and shared purpose.”
What Brooke has built is more than a business; it’s a living embodiment of Meraki itself, love poured into every detail and intention woven through every experience. Each appointment, circle, and handcrafted item carries that same energy, reminding everyone who visits that healing and beauty are most powerful when they come from the heart.
