Summer Adventures and Entertainment

The days are longer, the sun shines brightly, and the outdoors is beckoning you to take advantage of all the adventures that await. Here in Gig Harbor, there is so much beauty that surrounds us, and there is no shortage of opportunities to take in nature, whether on land or water. We’re certain our feature article will help spark your next outdoor adventure.

In this issue, we’re putting the spotlight on some wonderful local businesses: Spec German, a company dedicated to Porsche and Mercedes-Benz (and soon BMW) automotive services; and the largest boat brokerage in the Pacific Northwest—NW Yachtnet. They’re ready to help you find that perfect boat to get you out on the water this summer.

Summer brings with it the return of some wonderful annual events as well, like Gig Harbor Cruisers Club's 25th Cruise the Narrows Car Show, weekly outdoor concert series at Skansie Brothers Park and the Uptown Gig Harbor Pavilion, Chalk the Harbor, Rockin' Rhythm & Blues Festival, and Hogs, Dogs, Rods & PinUps.

Nurturing the area’s diverse artistic community for more than 30 years, Peninsula Art League presents their annual Summer Art Festival—2023 marking its 37th year.

As Race For A Soldier is just around the corner in September, read more about the Permission To Start Dreaming Foundation and the inspiring work they continue to do to serve our veterans, first responders and their families.

There’s no time like the present to seize the day and make the most of each and every moment and opportunity. Get outside, explore Gig Harbor, attend an event. You’ll be glad you did.
