On January 6, 2026, the Gig Harbor Literary Society meets at 6 pm at the Harbor History Museum to discuss Sharks in the Time of Saviors by Kawai Strong Washburn. Set in Hawaii, the novel follows the Flores family as they navigate loss, myth, and supernatural gifts, all while grappling with heritage, family bonds, and modern challenges.
