The Kiwanis Club of Gig Harbor is taking the lead coordinating a youth talent show to benefit local organizations helping children and families in need. The event, Gig Harbor Has Talent!, will take place on Saturday, March 25, from 2 to 5pm, at Swift Water Elementary in Gig Harbor. Admission to the talent show is free to the public and all are welcome to attend this fun, family oriented event. Gig Harbor area PSD middle and elementary school students, kindergarten through eighth grade, are invited to submit an online application and a one-minute audition video. There is no fee to apply. Twenty students will be invited to perform live on March 25. The event will raise awareness and funds for the following five local organizations/programs: Kiwanis Cares for Kids, Peninsula FISH Food Bank, Children’s Home Society, Harbor Hope Center, and Food Backpacks 4 Kids.
