New lifestyle boutique is opening soon in Gig Harbor

TLB Events, LLC, an event production and décor design company, has been operating for more than 15 years, and owner Tammi Barber is excited to introduce her newest endeavor—Frills by TLB Events, which will be “unwrapped” to the community's delight this month! At this lifestyle and celebration boutique you will find everything from gifts, celebration essentials, home décor, fresh florals and plants, custom décor installations and art, to personal accessory pop-up shops. It is truly a one-of-a-kind space unlike any other in Gig Harbor.
With a passion for events and storytelling using all five senses, Tammi strives to bring these same experiences into the community through a mix of her new brick-and-mortar shop combined with an online presence. “We had always planned on having a retail arm to TLB Events, and COVID-19 gave us the unique gift of time,” says Tammi. “We decided now more than ever, we wanted to find a way to stay engaged within our community and give people a reason to stay excited to celebrate all of life’s moments.”
Tammi started in the event industry more than two decades ago, bringing joy to this community—and around the world—through the art of guest experience. Customizing design to fit each client’s personality, style and culture, “It’s the little details that create the big picture,” explains Tammi.
“We at Frills by TLB Events will bring the art of guest experience into our store as well as your home. We want to take our knowledge of special events and show the community how to create similar opportunities in their own spaces.”
Tammi and her team will provide inspiration and education as well as the products you will need to make any day worth celebrating. Interactive design stations can be found in the store, as well as the opportunity to consult with one of Frills’ event experts via TLB Events, LLC for all your planning and décor design needs.
“There is such power in the human connection, both in person for a celebration of life’s most special moments as well as through the giving of gifts,” shares Tammi. “Making people smile, feel loved and cared for is essential. All of our products either have a great social impact story, pay it forward in some way or will simply just make you happy.”
When it comes to what Tammi finds most rewarding about the work she is able to accomplish through TBL Events, and now the addition of Frills, Tammi shares, “It is bringing joy to those we have had the privilege of working with as well as the guests that they are entertaining. We absolutely delight in creating experiences that are worthy of remembering. Whether we are inspiring traditions that can come back year after year or designing a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, we adore seeing the smiles, hearing the laughter and capturing the moments that are a part of their legacy.”
Gig Harbor is truly “home” to Tammi, as she has lived in the community since just 4 years of age. “I grew up here and chose to raise my family here as well. We love this community!” she says.
“I have loved getting to know many of the talented individuals and businesses that we have had in this community over the years as well as the new ventures moving into town. I look forward to working together to support each other with unique collaborations as we get open.”
Tammi finds it equally important to give back to her community, and being active in community projects has been a large part of TLB Events, LLC since its inception. Tammi has served on the board for Support Services for the Developmentally Disabled for more than 20 years, as well as multiple event committees. Through TLB Events, they have offered in-kind services along with their time and talents.
“Our world today, and always, needs more joy! This is at the core of what we will spark within our city and around the world.”
