11th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Join the community for the 11th Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser, supporting hunger-relief efforts in Gig Harbor. Altrusa of Gig Harbor produces the event, bringing together corporate sponsors, local artisans and restaurants, and caring neighbors united around one cause.

Guests are invited to purchase a handmade bowl from local potters and woodworkers and enjoy a simple soup-and-bread meal. Each bowl serves as a reminder that some in our community still struggle with empty bowls—and together, we can help fill them.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of soups prepared by local restaurants. “We hope to see an even greater turnout this year, as the need has grown exponentially over the last year. Empty Bowls is a tremendous opportunity for everyone to turn out in support of relieving food insecurity in our community,” says Altrusa President Susan Green, adding that each bowl offers “a simple meal of soup and bread to remind us of how fortunate we are and how some right here in our community are not.”
